Is Shakeology too expensive?
I hear so many people tell me that Shakeology is too much money. I can’t afford it. But these same people will spend over $5/day on something very unhealthy such as a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich with a coffee, but won’t spend $4 on Shakeology which is truly the healthiest meal of the day.
But let’s actually do the math:
The cost of Shakeology on autoship (you get free shipping) is $119.99 a month. Plus tax, its around $126. Each shake comes out to about $4.20 which works as a meal replacement. The coach price for Shakeology on autoship is $89.99 or around $96 total. Each serving comes out to $3.20. Still too much you say? Well what if I told you it has 150 calories per serving. It has over 70 healthy ingredients such as proteins, amino acids, antioxidants, phytonutrients, adaptogens, prebiotics, and digestive enzymes. It also helps you improve digestion, reduce cravings, increase energy and stamina. It helps you lose weight, improve mental clarity, lower cholesterol, and reduce the risk of diseases such as heart disease.
Remember: Subjects in a 90-Day study lost an average of 10 lbs. when they replaced just one meal per day with Shakeology.
The cost of an average lunch at a restaurant or take-out: $6 to $9. Even Subway sandwiches which are reputably low calorie average anywhere between 460 to 560 calories. Shakeology has 150 calories, less than 1 gram of fat per serving, and it is truly nutrient rich.
The cost of an average take out at a restaurant dinner is $10 & up to be sure.
The cost of a home-cooked lunch or dinner: 6-8 ounces of chicken is about $2.00 , veggies are about a $1 and say 1 sweet potato is anywhere from .50 cents to $1.00. This totals about $3.50.
Conclusion: You are spending about $3-4 on a home-cooked meal, the same amount that you would spend on Shakeology. Yes it seems like a lot to pay up front, but if you truly break it down its actually a bargain.
So what is the big fuss about then? I think our resistance has to do more with our thinking, than our actual ability to afford Shakeology. Somehow many people see Shakeology as a luxury item. But is it really? You only get one body. Take care of it and it will take care of you. We think nothing of spending $4 on mass-produced product that doesn’t truly nourish us, but yet we argue that $4 for Shakeology is too expensive. Some more examples are meals such as a deli sandwich with processed meat with the bag of chips and a soda costs more than Shakeology. A #1 at Mcdonalds cost more than this.
Still want to argue cost?
I invite you to watch the following video. Its less than a minute long. Tell me where you can’t get all of this in one serving for $4.
