Working Out In The Morning
I am a very big fan of working out in the morning and I feel there are so many benefits when you workout at this time of day. I will admit I never use to workout in the morning but I really had no choice. After my wife and I had our first daughter and my work schedule changed the only time I could get a workout in was if I did it very early in the morning. It had to be done before my daughter woke up and in time so I can get to work. It was either that or keep gaining those unwanted pounds as I got older. So I decided that working in the morning was my choice. You only get one body take so take care of it and it will take care of you. Working out in the morning it was!
# 1 Reason Why Working Out In The Morning Is Better
Its over with! There is nothing worse than worrying all day long about the workout that you need to do later in the day. It will affect everything you do that day too. You will have to try to plan your whole day around getting your workout in later. I can be honest and tell you that the biggest problem with waiting to the end of the day to workout is things in life always seem to come up both personally and professionally as the day progresses. You may get stuck at work late which throws off your whole schedule or one of your kids gets sick and you end up having to be with your sick child at night. Life just gets busier as the day goes on. If you workout in the morning then its over and done with. You will be ready for whatever the day brings you. If you wait you are rolling the dice.
# 2 Reason Why Working Out In the Morning Is Better
Studies have shown that if you workout in the morning that you tend to make better food choices throughout the day and I totally agree with that. When I workout in the morning I notice that I am much more self conscious of eating healthy throughout the day. The last thing I want to do is to ruin my effort from my morning workout by eating it away with horrible food choices. Furthermore, when you workout in the morning you don’t have to worry about timing your meals just right because when you do plan on working out later in the day you don’t want to get nauseous. I can remember when I used to workout a little later that I wouldn’t eat certain things and even drink certain liquids even if they were healthy all because I didn’t want to it to affect my workout. Well this doesn’t happen anymore. Working out in the morning simple makes this a non-issue.
# 3 Reason Why Working Out In The Morning Is Better
The third reason why I think working out in the morning is better is for you is for your mental well being. When you work out your body releases endorphins off your brain. It’s a feel good hormone. I always notice that my energy is up after exercise in the morning. I’m less stressed out and I’m ready to handle whatever the day brings me after a good workout in the morning. You also will feel slimmer, tighter and stronger throughout the day. When you work out at night you will still get that sense of mental high but a lot of times you then want to go to bed but you can’t fall asleep. Your body is all ready to go and now you want to lay down. It’s just a bad combination. Early morning exercise has many advantages and this is a only a few of them.
Working Out In The Morning Is Not Easy But Worth It
I will admit that working out in the morning took some time to to getting used to. It wasn’t easy at first especially when you are waking up in those cold winter mornings and it is still dark out. But they say after 21 days you can break an old habit and start a new one. Well just after about 3 weeks working out in the morning became part of my routine and I got very used to it. I workout six days a week at about 5:00am and I am done by 6am. There is not a better feeling in the world. My kids also know I exercise to stay healthy and I feel I am being a good role model for them. We all know about the obesity epidemic in this country today especially within our youth and I feel stopping this trend of obesity starts with the parents. So working out in the morning was my only choice and by doing that I am helping my kids learn about the importance of living a healthy and fulfilling life.
