Beachbody Fitness Programs – What Exactly Are They?
Beachbody fitness has become more and more popular over the last couple years. I’m sure everyone reading this article has seen the infomercials during all hours of the night. They used to be just late at night but now Beachbody fitness related infomercials can be seen during prime time as well. Beachbody fitness programs such as P90X, Insanity, Brazilian Butt Lift, Turbofire etc are constantly playing on television. Ever sit there on your couch watching television and see one of those infomercials playing? I know I have. I have actually sat through the entire infomercial on the couch thinking to myself that stuff doesn’t work!! Those people with the results aren’t real. They are just using a program like photoshop to change their appearance. LOL!!! I can even admit that first time I did one of these programs I did it because a friend of mine recommended I give the Beachbody fitness program P90X a try. Even then the DVD sat on my desk for about 6 months!! So what was my turning point? I can honestly tell you. I was away on business in Houston, TX with a co-worker of mine who was a big P90X’r. We finished work a little early and I wanted to go to the Houston Astros baseball game. He agreed but said only after you do ab ripper x (16 minute ab workout from P90X) with me first before we leave. I agreed and within minutes of the workout I was toast. I couldn’t believe how hard it was especially considering that I went to the gym 4 days a week and even recently ran the NYC Marathon! I guess it didn’t matter. I knew this particular Beachbody fitness program was the real deal!

Beachbody fitness has taught me a lot through the years. I used to be an avid gym goer up until about 2009. Since then I have completed over 10 rounds of P90X, multiple rounds of Insanity, multiple rounds of Asylum, two rounds of P90X2 and the list keeps on going. What I really learned about Beachbody fitness was the ability for me to be able to not have to worry about what I am going to do at the gym and therefore avoid hitting a muscle plateau at the same time. We have all seen it and may even be victim’s ourselves. For example, ever notice that you do the same thing at the gym day in and day out and your body hasn’t changed? Ever notice that people around you at the gym are also doing the same thing over and over? Well what happens over time is your body adapts to these exercises and basically will stop responding to them. You really won’t get the results you want anymore. Now don’t get me wrong something is better than nothing but getting massive gains in the way you look and feel requires change. Beachbody fitness has programs like P90X that are not only hard but keep your muscles confused. You are doing different workouts month after month which keeps your body guessing. Once your done with a program like P90X you can either do it again or Beachbody fitness will have a ton of other programs to choose from. I must say I have a large library of programs from Beachbody and can probably go a few months without repeating a workout. Variety is the spice to fitness and you don’t want to get bored with what you are doing. So what Beachbody fitness has done for me has kept my fitness lifestyle always exciting so I look forward to getting up to workout the next day. Yes they are!! Beachbody fitness has programs for all different types of people. Its not just programs for someone that is already in shape. There are Beachbody fitness programs like 10 Minute Trainer (1o minutes a day!!), Slim in 6, Power 90, ChaLEAN Extreme, Tai Cheng and so on that are for people just starting out. Whether you are a senior citizen or a high school student there is something for you. Beachbody fitness realizes that we need something for everyone and therefore is constantly looking to add more programs. They cannot just focus on elite athletes or on simple beginners. I know Beachbody fitness may seem unappealing at first because they are home based workouts. Well I can honestly say I felt the same way at first but then I really had to question my priorities.
