The best workouts for women really come down to the individual female that is doing the program. However after being married for almost 10 years and helping a few hundred females with their health and fitness I tend to see a trend of what females like best and why I feel that these workouts may be the best workouts for women. For starters women do not want to bulk up. All females are scared that if they lift any types of weight that they are going to get big and bulky. Well first off I just want to let you know that this is totally false. Read my blog on weight training for women. But besides that women love their music and love their cardio. So when I started to think what the best exercises for women are I took into consideration the common denominator of likes and dislikes among the females and thought that these following exercises were the best workouts for women.

- Turbo Fire – This program has great music, is fun, fast and quite motivating! This program by Chalene Johnson applies the training philosophy called High Intensity Interval Training aka HIIT. This is all about pushing your body to its maximum for a short period of time. This increases calorie burn which will then increase your results. My wife loves this workout! I have done a couple of the Tubro Fire workouts and always finished an absolute sweaty mess. I did struggle with some of the moves because it is a little dancy but nothing you can’t pick up. You will probably love the excitement in this program so I chose this as one of my best workouts for women.
- Les Mills Pump – Millions of people from around the world attend Les Mills Body Pump classes in their gyms and absolutely love this program. This is one of my favorite best workouts for women. Les Mills Pump can now be done in the comfort of your won home! Awesome music that is mixed to perfection. This program is all about the rep effect which means you use lighter weights but do a high number of repetitions. This will give you the lean and ripped look. Like I said above many females are scared of bulking up. Well with this program its all about the rep effect which won’t make you bulk up because of the science behind it. This was definitely one of first choices when it comes to the best workouts for women.
- Les Mills Combat – So you loved Les Mills Pump but want a little more. Another program that Les Mills teaches around the world is called Les Mills Body Combat and is now a home bases fitness program. Its a mixed martial arts type program. Once again great music but will all sorts of different types of kicks and punches. This workout burns a ton of calories and will also get you that lean ripped look. My wife Kristen started this program about a month ago and she can’t get enough of it. She keeps telling me how much she loves this program. Every time I see her when she is done she is bright red and super sweaty but loves every minute of it. I’m very happy for her because the results are coming too! I think this is a good choice as one of the best workouts for women.
- P90X – Many clients of mine or females I know have done P90X and have had ridiculous results. So therefore, I had to include this as one of the best workouts for women. This program has a little bit of everything. Some strength days, cardio days and even yoga. Variety is the spice to fitness and this program has it all. There are literally millions of success stories in the world today for P90X so I had to choose this workout routine for women as one of the best.

So as you can see all of my favorite choices for the best workouts for women are at home fitness programs. The reason I chose these workouts are for one they work. They are proven to work and females across the world are doing them daily and having great success. The next reason is time constraints. Many females today are busy working full time or even very busy as stay at home moms and don’t have any time to go to the gym. All of this workouts require minimal equipment and can be done right in the comfort of your own home in a very small space. So no more wasted time driving back and forth to the gym and worrying about daycare. When you children take a nap you will have time to get a quick workout in. The last reason I chose these workouts is because I see too many people doing the same thing over and over, day after day, and not getting the results they want. This is because they have hit a plateau and your body will not produce results anymore. You need to constantly be switching up your routine and with workouts like these you avoid the dreaded muscle plateau. You simply push play and follow along.
